Shopping with local and Hello Project summer tour concerts. But no time to write

It's already past 10PM when I write this and due to tomorrow's Fuji climb I need to go sleep early. Had hoped already to be sleeping!

But little bit of the first part of the day. I had had the meeting plan on friday that went awry but person in question had time afterall in sunday so we set up meeting in the Ginza. Had surprise quick drop there in the morning. We first headed toward Tsukuji and on route ran into Kabuki theater(one day would like to see one).

Better  overview picture later. After that we went to the fish market place called Tsukuji. In early morning this is extremely crowded but now it was long over(and holiday for boot it seemed) so not much except smell of fish. Still interesting to see location of the famous fish auction place.

This is the Kabuki theater from the outside.

After this we walked around him showcasing me some shops and despite my best intentions ended up with some souvenirs(luckily generally small and light ones)! Urgh. Individually not expensive but these start to mount up if I'm not careful. Then we went to lunch in his regular restaurant. Never eaten at restaurant like these where you boil yourself meat and vegetables and dip them to various dippings.

Got also ramen almost by accident. Something I have noticed is that I have harder time(lot harder) understanding Japanese men than females. I wonder what reasons there could be. Few that comes to mind:

a) Japanese male speak is very fast and bit slurred. It's like they are spitting words out fast as they can. To be honest that's a lot like I speak Finnish!
b) They also seem to use less of the teineigo(polite speak) and use the more informal form. Thing is I have used this mostly in...reading mangas! Little bit anime but in school and generally writing blogs, writing with Japanese and speaking with Japanese I use the teineigo. That's what school teaches, that's generally the language style you use outside your "in-group" so to speak. Now generally Japanese are more relaxed with accepting informal language from foreigners(on principle they might not be able to use the teineigo but since that's what generally is taught that's actually not that good arqument I think) but I generally use the teineigo since it's sure way of speaking politely.

But since I have used very little of informal style it's harder for me. Add to that slangish words and I get lost easily.
c) since women are the ones taking care of child most of the time they are more adept at speaking to people who aren't that good at understanding complex speech! Foreigners who aren't super fluent in Japanese get nice help when other speaks slower and clearly, like to a small child. Maybe the women do that even without thinking!

Anyway not complaining. Certainly was interesting teaching lesson and put me bit outside my comfort zone for listening comprehension which is very helpful in improving. Say for the JLPT1 I'll be trying to take this year...

After this we did some more shopping before I headed for Hello Project 2015 summer concert to which I had bought two tickets on friday. Back to back concerts with different set lists. Was fun 4 hours or so but due to time limit won't write more about that now. Maybe once I come back from Fuji. But can't claim it's unpleasant to watch whole lot of pretty girls and beautiful women(up to 40-50 or so at the same time at times!) dancing on the stage! Could be worse ways to spend free sunday night.

On the way back I however had some serious troubles that delayed. For starters train I was trying to take from Nakano didn't leave! Announcement started to guide people to other(slower) train. This delayed arrival to Akihabara a bit.

Second problem was that I got soooooo lost in Akihabara. I couldn't find the Tokyo metro station for ages! Ran in circles for a while.

Arriving to Iriya I quickly popped in to konbini(wonder what staff thought when I bring in 4.5 liters drinks and tons of food :D ), wrote this and next pack my bag and go to sleep.

More when I get from Fuji. Probably on wednesday though.
